About the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lawrence County

The CAC operates programs out of New Castle, Ellwood City, and Sharon. The mission of the agency is to strengthen families and empower children through collaborations with parents and communities that care.

Our history began in 1989 with a group of caring citizens concerned about the welfare of abused children. The CAC has evolved during the past 20 years into a multi-purpose agency passionate about serving children and families in Lawrence and Mercer counties and continues to offer programs and services intent on stopping child abuse and promoting great childhoods.

The CAC is accredited through the National Children’s Alliance and is a proud member of the United Way of Lawrence County.
