UPMC Jameson believes in early treatment and rehabilitation of stroke patients to help them at every phase of care. This is why our program includes acute stroke treatment, rehabilitation, and support services. From the moment our patients enter the Emergency Department and through hospitalization, to rehabilitation, after care, and returning to the community, our staff provides support through every phase of stroke treatment.
UPMC Jameson’s stroke telemedicine program provides access to experts at the UPMC Stroke Institute 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via high-definition videoconferencing capabilities available in our Emergency Department.
Our comprehensive stroke rehabilitation services offer individualized therapy plans for stroke patients. The team of caregivers help stroke survivors reach their maximum level of independence. Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services are both available.
