UPMC Hosting Health Care Professional Development Event for Lawrence and Mercer Counties

Career Seekers Invited to Visit and Learn About Health Care Opportunities in the Region

NEW CASTLE, Pa., Jan. 24, 2017 UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon will host a Health Care Professional Development Event in two sessions from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Park Inn by Radisson, 3377 New Castle Road, West Middlesex, Pa., 16159. The event is for people interested in starting or advancing their career in health care.

Hiring managers will be onsite to interview for open positions and discuss additional opportunities for career advancement. The sessions will allow participants to discover exciting and meaningful opportunities to launch a career at UPMC Horizon or UPMC Jameson.

The Health Care Professional Development Event provides the unique opportunity to gain personal mentorship and career advice from UPMC leadership members.

Open positions at UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon are available for surgical services, nursing and nursing assistants, food service, environmental services, dietitians, laboratory, medical imaging, respiratory services and other areas.

Participants may attend one or both event sessions where members of UPMC’s Human Resources team will be available for resume review and interview tips.

Attendees will have an opportunity to explore educational opportunities by meeting with representatives from schools offering onsite and online health care programs for RNs (Registered Nurses), RNs to BSNs (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), APPs (Advanced Practice Providers, such as Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners), and surgical technicians.
